What has CSJ done for my dogs?

“Having tried several brands of dog food, I was finding that the dogs lacked drive, frequently had loose stools/stomach upsets and their overall condition was deprived. I was first introduced to CSJ Champ! By my good friend John Edwards, and have never looked back. Having fed both CSJ Complete Tripe! and Champ!

I feel that both assist my dogs in reaching their full potential and supporting their energy requirements. Their overall condition, concentration and drive have dramatically improved since switching foods, and loose stools/stomach upsets are non-existent! They now have thick, glossy coats, firm faeces & are able to perform to the best of their abilities.”

Biography

How David began his passion for field trials...

I was first introduced to the sport around 5 years ago by a local game keeper whom I met through work. He invited me to take part in one of his shoot days, which I hesitantly excepted as I had previously never seen a shoot or a gundog, and had no idea what to expect!

When I arrived I was placed amongst the others beaters and their working dogs, and off we went. My attention was quickly taken by a young Springer bitch named Misty, formerly owned by a Mr Roy Thomas. The drive, action and handleability of the dog were fascinating to me and from that day I was hooked.”

Along came Rosie…

David soon became good friends with Roy, who was kind enough to show him the ropes and before he knew it, he was the proud new owner of a liver and white bitch pup named Rosie, who was bred from Misty and gifted to him by Roy!

The first goal…

David’s initial goal was to train Rosie to a good enough standard to enter a working test. This demanded lots of commitment and dedication which David says he had underestimated!

He says, “I faced many challenges as a novice and had to develop my techniques and understanding along the way. This was assisted by both Simon Tyres and John Edwards of Edwardiana Gundogs, who have continuously provided me with invaluable support and guidance.

I have subsequently developed a huge passion for the sport and hope to go on and achieve as much as possible with my dogs.”

Other pastimes…

David still attends the local shoot that introduced him to the world of Gundogs. Most of his spare time is taken up by training and working the dogs he has at the moment but he would like to sell CSJ products in the future.
