Biography

Daryl, a Student Paramedic for the South Central Ambulance Service, formed Berkshire Search & Rescue Dogs in 2002 and was also involved in the creation of Lowland Search Dogs, the national umbrella body.

About Berkshire SAR Dogs

Berkshire SAR Dogs is a volunteer dog organisation on call 24 hours a day, 365 days a year to assist Search & Rescue Teams, the Police and other Emergency Services.

"Our primary role is to assist in locating lost or missing vulnerable people within Berkshire and its surrounding areas"

Berkshire SAR Dogs became a registered charity in the UK in March 2004 and is entirely reliant on sponsorship and donations to exist and carry out its work.

Daryl has been involved in Search & Rescue for over 10 years both internationally and in the UK.

He is now a Level 3 handler for Berkshire Search and Rescue Dogs with his Border Collie Guinness - now 10 years old.

Daryl currently works Guinness and is training a 2year old rescued Border Collie called Murphy.

High profile searches?

Daryl and Guinness have been involved in many high profile searches for lost or missing vulnerable people. Guinness has not only been responsible for finding items that have lead to people being located but has also found other items during a search that have been related to other criminal investigations.
