Country:
Jon’s dog Woody
Woody is a Chocolate – some might say Ginger- Labrador and is Jon’s third Labrador. Woody qualified as a Level 3 Area search dog some 6 years ago and has attended numerous call outs over those years. In 2015 Woody gained his 5 year service award and a large bone.
Woody is 7 1/2 years old and still has a lot of energy, more so now as he has a play mate in Buzz a new member to our crew. Buzz, a 6 year old Lab /Flat coat retriever (eating machine) and constantly can be seen hanging off the snout, back legs, neck and ears of Woody.
When not on call outs or training Woody’s favourite pastime now is lying in front of the fire during the winter months or jumping in any water he can find during the summer.
Award from Surrey Police
Dog Handler, Jon Rumbol received a 1000 hours award from Surrey
Woody needed a food to maintain his stamina and Labrador good looks as well as keeping Buzz at bay. Woody has been fed CP24 for a number of years now and loves it, his coat is just great and is commented on regularly, his energies levels are high and stamina excellent. His playmate is now also on CP24 and equally loves his food- what Labrador doesn’t!!

About Jon
Jon wanted a new challenge after training his previous Labrador to retrieve game “in the field”. His younger brother had his Springer in training with a local lowland SAR team so naturally search and rescue sounded like a new challenge for both!
Police for time spent searching for missing people:
Lowland Rescue
Jon presently is a National Assessor for ALSAR ( Lowland Rescue), which means that he assesses along with 6 others potential track and path and area dogs, to ensure that they meet the exacting standards set by ALSAR for its search dog assets.
