About Berkshire SAR Dogs

Berkshire SAR Dogs is a volunteer dog organisation on call 24 hours a day, 365 days a year to assist Search & Rescue Teams, the Police and other Emergency Services.

"Our primary role is to assist in locating lost or missing vulnerable people within Berkshire and its surrounding areas".

Berkshire SAR Dogs became a registered charity in the UK in March 2004 and is entirely reliant on sponsorship and donations to exist and carry out its work.

Lou's dogs

At February 2009 she has two level three operational dogs with Berkshire SAR Dogs and two young dogs in training.

Lou's eldest dog Brock had the first ever Lowland Search Dogs find.

All the dogs are trained to air scent and Brock is also trained for trailing and scent discrimination work - especially handy if it's known we know where the missing person was last seen.

Brock won this year's 'Friends for Life' competition, held at Crufts.
