CaniX Team UK get their stripes!

In August 137 members of CaniX Team UK 2012, friends and family took part in a team building weekend at Pembrey Country Park, South Wales in preparation for the 15th European Championship at CSJ CanineMax in Cirencester, Gloucestershire on 13 & 14 October 2012. With members from Scotland, Kent and Cornwall, many took advantage of the stunning location and made a weeks holiday of it.

While dogs lazed in the shade, their 2-legged team mates were kitted out in the new strip and put through their paces with two Army instructors taking groups in core strength and circuit training exercises, while other groups did the beep fitness test and PR photos. The weekend also included a hash, relay and social BBQs in the evenings; with many smaller groups planning additional training.

By the end of the weekend everyone had definitely earned there stripes!

The team are hoping to replicate the success of the GB Olympic team and improve on the three medals (including a gold) they won at the last European Championship in Poland 2011.
