Dog Sports - Obedience

Obedience training ranges from very basic training, such as teaching the dog to reliably respond to basic commands such as 'sit', "down", 'come', and 'stay', to high level competitions, where additional commands, accuracy and performance are scored and judged.

Obedience implies compliance with the direction given by the handler. For a dog to be considered obedient, rather than simply trained in obedience, he/she must respond reliably each time its handler gives a command.

Training a dog in obedience can be an ongoing and lengthy process depending on the dog, the methods used and the skill and understanding of both the trainer and the handler.

Obedience training is often necessary for other training

The actual training of the dog can be done by anyone, the trainer, ohandler, or a friend. It's the relationship and trust between the dog and handler that are important for success.

CSJ & Obedience

CSJ ...

Kate Nicholas says ...

" We have been feeding CSJ for about two years now when our fellow flyball team mate (Susan Mcdermott) became a CSJ Stockist. Since using CSJ our feed bills have been greatly reduced as well as getting a better product for our money. This has been greatly reflected by the overall condition of the entire kennel with all dogs having a gleam to their coats even the golden oldies. Before feeding CSJ we had problems with some of our dogs being fussy eaters, this has since changed and all ten dogs can’t get enough of CSJ. - Kate Nicholas 2008 "
